톰포드 비터피치 리뷰 | Bitter Peach of TOMFORD Review

[향의 구조와 느낌]

가장 먼저 맡아지는 향기는 당연히, 복숭아의 향기예요. 음, 우리가 흔히 알고 있는 가벼운 느낌의 복숭아 향이라기보다는, 천도복숭아나 다른 붉은 색깔이 진한 복숭아가 익을 만큼 익어서 건들기만 해도 껍질이 벗겨지고, 과육이 뚝뚝 흐르는 듯한 향기예요. 적당히 산미도 있으면서 너무 많이 익었다 싶을 정도의 복숭아에서 맡을 수 있는 달콤함과 농익음을 느낄 수 있는 향기예요. 여기에 오렌지의 한 종류인 블러드 오렌지의 달콤하고 맛있는 냄새가 함께 올라오면서 당장이라도 한 입 베어 먹어야 할 것 같은 느낌의 향기를 맡을 수가 있어요.

미들에서 맡아지는 향기는 복숭아의 달콤함은 한층 가라 앉았지만 산미는 약간 남아있어요. 그리고 허브의 한 종류인 다바나의 향기와 라다넘 꽃향기가 살짝 나요. 미들 노트에 있는 향기는 사실 메인 노트긴 하지만, 초반의 복숭아 향기가 더 강렬해서 그런지 명확하게 꽃향기! 허브향기! 이렇게 느껴지는 건 아니에요. 애초에 라다넘이라는 꽃 자체도 꽃의 종류이긴 하지만 레진이나 발삼 계열이기 때문에 굉장히 깊고, 강렬하면서 약간 가죽 같기도 하고 포실포실하고 따뜻한 느낌이거든요. 이 라다넘은 그 꽃 자체의 향기라기보다는, 그 꽃에서 추출한 레진의 향기예요. 탑에서 이어지는 농익은 복숭아의 향기에 이 깊고 강렬한 향기가 만나면서 복숭아의 향기가 더 무거워지고, 깊어지는 듯한 느낌이에요. 복숭아 향기의 새로운 접근법 같은데요? 

잔향은 아주 살짝 복숭아의 산미가 조금 느껴지긴 하지만 파출리와 샌달우드의 나무 향기를 느낄 수가 있어요. 왜 이 복숭아 향기가 여름이 아닌 가을에 나왔을까 싶었는데, 잔향을 보니 정말 가을이 연상되는 향기에요. 제가 톰포드에서 받은 메시지엔 코냑과 카다멈 오일 등이 들어갔다고 설명이 써져 있었는데, 사실 그 향기를 콕 집어서 맡기는 힘든 거 같아요. 그런데 잔향으로 갈수록 따뜻해지는 향기가 스파이시 향조의 영향이구나. 하는 느낌은 느낄 수가 있어요. 그리고 코냑 같은 술의 느낌은 나무 느낌도 나고, 맛있는 느낌도 있고, 깊은 향기도 갖고 있어서 함께 있는 다른 향료들과 참 잘 어울리는 향료예요. 잔향은 아주 살짝 달콤함과 함께 깊은 느낌이 나는 마무리를 갖고 있네요.

전체적인 흐름을 본다면, 복숭아의 여정 같은 느낌이에요.  시작은 나무에서 떨어지기 직전까지 아주 농익은 복숭아가 어딘가에 떨어지고, 그 떨어진 복숭아로 복숭아 술이나 버무스를 만드는 과정같은 느낌이네요. 

First, I can smell peach scent. Of course. Well, it’s not like light peach smell which we commonly know. It’s more like some red color peach getting rippen so much. And it’s easily peel-off and very juicy. Also there is acidity fitly and I can smell sugary scent which I can feel from very overripen peach. And then, there is blood orange scent. It is sweet and tasty smell. I can feel the scent that I should bite right now. In the middle note, I can still smell the acidity even sweetness is subdued. And there is davana, one of herbs and labdanum flower smell. As you know, middle note is the heart note. But I can’t smell accurately flower and herb scent because peach smell is so strong and intense from the top. You know, labdanum is one of flower kinds though, it is resin or balsam note. So its scent is very deep, strong and is like leathery and warm feeling. Also, labdanum scent is resin smell extracted flower. Overripen peach scent meets this labdanum scent. And then peach scent is getting heavier and deeper. I think it’s new approach to peach scent! I can smell wood like patchouli and sandalwood with a little acidity of peach. Actually, I wondered why this peach scent releases in Autumn? Not summer? It makes sense to see the sillige. The text I got from TOM FORD Beauty said there are cognac and cardamom oil in this fragrance. Well, it’s hard to smell that. However, I can feel the more the scent goes to the last note, the warmer I feel I think that spice note makes this fragrance warmer. Also, brandy like cognac has woody, tasty, and. very deep scent. So it’s really good with other fragrances. The sillige ends with very deep feeling and a little sweetness. Well, if I smell the overall flow, it’s like a journey of peach. It’s like a process that overripen peach falls somewhere and the fallen peach is made to peach alcohol or Vermouth.

 

[연상 이미지]

연상되는 이미지는 복숭아 술을 만드는 것 같은 이미지에요. 사실, 복숭아 술이 어떻게 만들어지는지 잘 모르지만, 제가 생각한 이미지는 와이너리에서 체험할 수 있는 와인 만들기 모습이거든요. 포도를 큰 통에 넣고 발로 직접 밟으면서 포도를 으깨잖아요. 그 과정의 복숭아 버전인 것 같아요. 정말 잘 익어서 색이 빨개진 복숭아를 신나게 손으로 으깨고 있는 것 같아요. 

I imagine making peach alcohol! I don’t know how peach alcohol is made at all. I think the making wine experience in Winery. People trample grape in a basket. It is the peach version of that process! I think I’m crushing overripen peaches with my own hand!

 

[컬러]

생각난 컬러는 역시나 이 병의 색깔인 빨강에 가까운 주황색 입니다. 아니, 톰포드 디자이너 누구세요? 왜 이렇게 컬러를 잘 뽑아내죠? 우리는 보통 복숭아 향 하면 핑크색을 많이 떠올리잖아요. 하지만 이 비터 피치는 그냥 주황색도 아니고, 빨강에 가까운 주황색이 떠오르는데요. 이 색깔만큼 이 향기를 잘 표현해 내는 색깔이 없는 것 같아요. 처음 병을 보고, 시향을 했을 때 어머, 병이랑 찰떡이네. 이 생각부터 들더라고요.

The color what I think is Reddish orange color which is the bottle color! OMG, who is the design this? This color is so wonderful! People usually think pink color when they think peach scent. But this fragrance reminds reddish orange color, not just orange. I think this color is the best color for this perfume. When I saw this bottle and smelled it, I realized it’s perfect!

 

[성별/연령]

비터 피치는 남녀 공용 향수로 출시되었습니다. 복숭아의 달콤함이 너무 어린 느낌의 달콤함이 아니라서 남성분들이 쓰시기에도 부담이 없는 과일 향수예요. 여성분들은 당연히 말할 것도 없고요. 잘 어울리는 연령대는 남성과 여성 둘 다 30대 중반일 것 같아요. 농익은 복숭아의 달콤함이 어린 연령대보다는 30대 이상의 연령대에게 더 잘 어울리지 않을까 싶네요. 평소에 복숭아 향을 좋아하셨지만, 너무 어린 이미지라 잘 사용하지 못하셨다면 이 비터 피치가 참 좋은 해결책이 될 것 같아요. 저처럼요.

Bitter peach is for women and men both. The sweetness of peach isn’t too young images, it’s good fruity fragrance for men. Not to mention to women. I think this scent is great for mid-30s. I think mature peach sweetness is better for over 30s, not for younger people. If you couldn’t wear peach scent because it has immature images, I think Bitter peach can be a good solution. Like me!

 

[아웃핏/메이크업]

잘 어울릴 것 같은 아웃핏은 가을 코트를 아우터로 입은 복장이에요. 겨울의 도톰한 코트가 아닌, 가을에 즐겨 입는 트렌치코트 정도의 두께를 가진 코트요. 색상은 아이보리나 밝은 베이지 색깔이면 좋을 것 같아요. 너무 진한 갈색 계열, 혹은 남색이나 검은색 같은 컬러는 약간 이 향기와 조금 이질적인 느낌이거든요. 평상시에 입는 옷을 입으시고, 가을 코트 같은 거 하나 입으시면 이 향기가 더 매력적일 것 같아요. 잘 어울릴 것 같은 메이크업은 MLBB 같은 컬러가 잘 어울릴 것 같아요. My lip but better의 의미잖아요. 자연스러우면서 더 나은 컬러를 보여주는 메이크업이 좋을 것 같아요. 너무 채도가 밝거나 포인트가 강한 메이크업은 이 향기와 뭔가 영역 싸움을 할 것 같은 이미지거든요. 

I think autumn coat is nice with this scent. Not a thick coat for winter. More like trench coat for autumn. I think bright color is good such as ivory and light beige. I think too dark colors such as deep brown, navy or black have different feelings with this perfume. Wear what you usually wear and add autumn coat. The scent will be perfect. I think MLBB color makeup will be cool. MLBB means ‘My lip but better’. I think makeup showing natural and better color is good! I think too bright and individuality makeup can have a turf war with this scent.

 

[연예인]

생각난 연예인은 배우 하지원 씨와 할리우드 배우 '맷 보머'입니다. 이 두 사람의 공통점이 있나? 이런 생각 하실 수도 있죠. 전 두 분이 출연한 작품을 꽤 많이 봤는데요. 확실히 배우분들은 표현하는 감정의 스펙트럼이 정말 넓으신 것 같더라고요. 특히 전 이 두 분의 작품들을 보면서 항상 더 넓어지는 감정과 표현의 스펙트럼을 느꼈거든요. 거기에 깊이감도 있잖아요. 이 향수가 저에게 준 이미지가 그래요. 복숭아 향기에 대한 새로운 접근을 보여주면서, 제가 갖고 있는 복숭아 향기의 스펙트럼을 넓혀준 향기예요. 저의 견문을 넓혀준 향기이다 보니, 비슷한 역할을 해주었던 이 두 배우분이 생각나더라고요. 

I think an actress “Ji-won Ha” and an actor “Matt Bomer”. You can think “They have something in common?” I watched so many works they were starring. I thought actors/actresses have wide emotion spectrum that they show. Whenever I watched their works, I felt the spectrum getting wider. And much deeper. That’s the image this fragrance gave me. This scent shows new approach to peach smell and widen my fragrance spectrum. It widens my knowledge, so I think of them who did extend my insight.

 

[음악]

생각난 음악은 노 리플라이의 '바라만 봐도 좋은데'와 Daft Punk의 'Something about us'입니다. 두 노래 다 참 달달한 노래예요. 가수의 목소리도, 노래의 멜로디와 가사까지 정말 부드러우면서 감미롭거든요. 비터 피치의 성숙한 달콤한 향기에 이 노래들의 감미로움이 더해지면서 100전 100승의 소개팅을 할 수 있을 것 같은 느낌이에요. 저도 이 향수 뿌리고 소개팅 나가고 싶네요.

The songs what I think are “Just wanna look at you of Noreply” and “Something about us of Daft Punk”. Both songs are so sweet. Singers’ voice, melody and lyrics are so soft and tender. I’m sure I can go on a perfect blind date when I’m wearing this scent with those musics. I wanna go on a blind date with Bitter peach!!

톰포드의 최신작, 비터 피치는 복숭아 향기의 새로운 영역을 보여주는 향기예요. 여태까지 제가 만난 복숭아 향기는 밋밋하고 정적인 향기에 가까웠거든요. 사람들에게 인지된 복숭아의 향기도 다양하기 보다는 고정관념처럼 딱 생각나는 향기가 정해져 있잖아요. 이 향수는 그 복숭아 향기의 고정관념을 산산조각 내주는 향기에요. 복숭아 향기이지만, 나는 이렇게 깊은 깊이감을 낼 수 있어! 여리여리 핑크색이 아닌 진한 색깔을 연상시키는 이미지를 줄 수 있고, 10대 후반이나 20대 초반의 어린 이미지가 아닌 30대 이상에게 잘 어울릴 수 있는 향기를 줄 수 있다고!! 거기다가 이렇게 에너지 가득하고 다이내믹한 재미를 주는 내가 바로 비터 피치야!! 이렇게 말하고 있는 것 같아요. 정말로 이 향수가 말할 수 있다면 어깨가 한껏 올라간 자신감 뿜 뿜 하는 자세로 얘기를 하고 있을 것 같네요. 그만큼 자신감 있고 멋있는 매력적인 향이니까요. 

The latest work of TOM FORD, Bitter peach shows new angle of peach smell. So far, I thought peach smell is flat and static scent. Rather than various scents of peaches recognized by people, there are certain scents that come to mind like stereotypes. This fragrance shatters the stereotypes of peach smell. I’m a peach scent though, I can show the depth in scent! I can give you the image reminding a loud color, not tender pink! Also I can be suitable for over 30s not teenagers or early-20s!! And then! I’m so energetic and dynamic!!! I’m the BITTER PEACH!!! I think this fragrance is saying like that. If the perfume would be able to speak, it would be saying with very big confidence. Well, it’s true. This scent is very cool!
