[향의 구조와 느낌]

너무나도 제 취향의 향으로 시작하는 네롤리 포르토피노는 베르가못, 만다린 오렌지, 레몬 등의 신선하고 상쾌한 시트러스 향조로 시작을 해요. 시트러스의 향초만 있는 것이 아니라 살짝 느껴지는 라벤더와 로즈메리의 허브 향기도 느껴져요. 그리고 함께 느껴지는 비터 오렌지의 향도 있는데요. 오렌지도 종류가 꽤 많거든요. 만다린 오렌지 같은 경우에는 조금 더 달고, 상큼하면서 약간 꿀같기도 한 느낌의 향이라면, 비터 오렌지는 조금 더 시큼하고 쨍한 느낌이 더 강한 느낌의 향이에요. 이 비터 오렌지의 나무에서 난 꽃을 가지고 네롤리 오일, 오렌지 꽃 향료를 만들어 내는 거예요. 

초반에 있던 시트러스와 허브의 강렬함을 이어 받는 향기는 아프리칸 오렌지 플라워와 재스민, 네롤리의 향기예요. 지금 음??? 하셨죠? 아프리칸 오렌지 플라워랑 네롤리랑 다른 건가? 뭐가 뭐야? 이런 생각 하고 계실 거예요. 조금 전 탑노트에서 만다린 오렌지와 비터 오렌지의 향기가 조금 다르다고 말씀드렸잖아요. 오렌지 꽃의 향기도 마찬가지예요. 어떤 종류의 오렌지냐에 따라 그 꽃의 향기도 다르거든요. 아프리칸 오렌지 플라워는 시트러스의 느낌보다는 화이트 플로럴의 향취가 강한 향기예요. 그리고 네롤리는 시트러스의 향조도 가지면서 살짝 씁쓸하기도 하고, 그린그린 하면서 꽃의 느낌도 갖는 아주 다양한 매력을 갖는 향료고요. 그래서 미들 노트에서는 한층 풍부한 오렌지 꽃들의 향기를 맡을 수가 있어요. 그리고 함께 있는 돈나무의 향기는 재스민이나 오렌지 꽃을 연상시키는 달콤한 꽃 향기예요. 화이트 플로럴의 부드러움이 앞서 느껴졌던 시트러스와 허브의 느낌과도 생각보다 잘 어울려요. 

잔향에서 느껴지는 건 앰버와 암브레트 씨드, 그리고 안젤리카의 향기예요. 그러고 보니 앰버에 대해서는 제가 설명을 드린 적이 없는 것 같아요. 앰버가 호박을 얘기하잖아요. 호박 보석이라고 하는 그 아이요. 호박은 나무에서 나오는 송진이 땅속에 묻혀서 아주 오랜 시간 걸쳐서 화석화된 물질이에요. 우리가 흔히 접하는 앰버 향이라는 것은 실제로 그 호박에서 나는 향기가 아니라, 이 호박에서 날 것 같은 향의 이미지를 토대로 만들어낸 향이에요. 그리고 종종 앰버를 앰버 그리스, 즉 용연향과 동일한 것으로 생각하시는 분들도 많이 계신데 그 둘은 전혀 다른 향기예요. 앰버의 향은 달콤하고, 편안하고 따듯한 느낌과 약간의 파우더리함도 함께 갖고 있는 향기입니다. 머스크와 함께 쓰일 때 시너지가 큰 향기죠. 이 네롤리 포르토피노에서는 머스크 대신 머스크 향이 나는 식물, 암브레트 시드가 함께 쓰였죠. 그리고 안젤리카는 아마 한번쯤은 보셨을 식물이에요. 머스크 느낌이 나는 나무 같기도 하고, 달콤한 식물의 뿌리 같기도 한 냄새를 갖고 있어서 라스트에 쓰인 앰버, 암브레트 시드와 참 잘 어울리는 향기예요. 잔향에서 느껴지는 포근함과 함께 아직도 오렌지 꽃의 달콤함과 싱그러움이 남아 있어요. 잔향으로 가면 포근하기만 하거나, 묵직하기만 한 향만 남는 향수들도 있는데 이 네롤리 포르토피노는 끝까지 오렌지 꽃의 향취가 남아있어 더 매력적이네요. 

The start of scent is citrus smell such as bergamot, mandarin oragne, and lemon. It’s soooooo my taste! Not only citrus scent, there is herb smell like lavender and rosemary. Also I can smell bitter orange scent. As you know, orange has so many kind. Mandarin orange is sweet and fresh and like honey. Bitter orange is much sourer and has sharp feeling. Neroli oil as known as orange flower oil is made from flowers of bitter orange tree. And then, I can smell African orange flower, Jasmine and Neroli, coming after citrus and herb scent. You may think this. “Huh?? What’s different between African orange flower and Neroli?” I told you just before Mandarin orange scent and Bitter orange scent are a little different. Orange flowers are too. The scent is very different depending on species. African orange flower has white flower scent, not citrus scent. On the contray, Neroli has citus scent and a little bitter. Also it has greenish feeling and flower feelings. So, I can smell abundant orange flowers. And the pittosporum scent has sweet flower smell reminding Jasmine or Orange flowers. The softness of white flowers is great with citrus and herb scents. In the last note, I can smell Amber, Ambrette seed and Angelica. Oh, I’ve never told about Amber. You know Amber. It’s one of gem stones. An amber is a fossilized substance that has been buried in the ground for a very long time because of resin from the tree. Amber scent, we normally know, is not real smell of amber stone. It’s made based on the image of amber. Sometimes, some people think Amber and Ambergris are same thing. Nope. They are definitely different smells. Amber smell is sweet, cozy feeling and a little powdery feelings. It makes good synergy when it’s with Musk. In this fragrance, there is Ambrette Seed instead of Musk. And then, you’ve ever seen Angelica It has tree smell like musk and root smell of sweet plant It’s good with Amber, Ambrette seed. There is still sweet and fresh scent of orange flowers with cozy sillige. Some fragrances are only cozy or heavy in the last note. However, this fragrance has orange flower scent until the end of smell.

연상되는 이미지는 해변이 멋진 섬에서 선베드에 누워 편안한 시간을 보내는 것 같은 이미지에요. 앞에는 에메랄드 빛 바다가 잔잔하게 흐르고 있고, 뒤에는 오렌지 나무나 안젤리카 같은 식물들이 많이 있어서 불어오는 바람에 상큼하고 달콤한 향기를 맡으며 편안하게 햇살을 즐기는 것 같아요. 

I think the image that relaxing on the sunbed at some Island with so beautiful beach. There is emerald beach with some plants like orange tree or angelica. It feels like enjoying sunshine with sweet and fresh scent.

 

[컬러]

생각한 컬러는 이 향수의 병 색깔인 청록색이에요. 꽃향기고, 시트러스 향 조인데? 싶으실 수도 있어요. 그런데 이 향기에 전체적으로 깔려있는 그린 감이 청록색을 연상시키기도 하고, 참 잘 어울려요. 병의 컬러를 누가 선택했는지는 몰라도 정말 탁월한 선택이라고 생각해요. 

The color what I think is blue-green. The bottle’s color. You may think “It’s flower and citrus smell?!” I know. But greenish feelings in this fragrance reminds blue-green color. Also its’ so good. I don’t know who chose the color of bottle, it’s very nice.

 

[성별/연령]

이 네롤리 포르토피노는 젠더리스 향수로 출시 되었어요. 그래서 남성에게도, 여성에게도 아주 잘 어울리는 향수예요. 오렌지 꽃의 향기는 장미나 다른 꽃향기처럼 뭔가, 너무 예쁨 예쁨 한 느낌만 있는 게 아니어서 남성분들에게도 잘 어울리거든요. 여성분들에게는 말할 것도 없고요. 이 향기는 20대의 남녀에게 잘 어울릴 것 같아요. 가벼운 느낌으로 30대에게도 괜찮을 것 같네요. 

This perfume is for women and men. So, it’s really great for everyone. Orange flower scent has not only beautiful feelings but also stylish and cool. So, it’s nice with men. Not to mention women. I think this scent is good for 20s. I also think it’s nice for 30s.

[아웃핏/메이크업]

청량한 느낌과 약간 귀여운 느낌이 있는 향이어서 청바지에 티셔츠 같은 캐주얼한 복장이 잘 어울릴거에요. 오렌지 꽃의 향기는 꽃의 아름다움도 있지만, 그린 그린 한 향기도 함께 있어서 역동적이고 생동감 있는 느낌도 함께 있거든요. 그래서 캐주얼한 복장과도 참 잘 어울릴 것 같아요. 어울리는 메이크업은 코랄이나, 오렌지 색깔의 립스틱이나 블러셔를 사용하면 이 향기와 더 시너지가 생기지 않을까 싶어요. 코랄이나 오렌지 컬러에서 오는 생기 있는 메이크업이 네롤리 포르토피노와 참 잘 어울릴 거예요.

Because this scent has fresh and cute feeling, I think casual looks will be good like jeans and t-shirt. I think orange flower scent has not only beautiful of flowers but also dynamic and energetic feelings because of green smell. So, it’s really nice with casual outfits. And I think orange or coral color lipstick and blusher can make bigger synergy with this scent. Lively makeup with orange or coral color will be wonderful with this fragrance.

 

[연예인]

생각난 연예인은 가수 청하 씨와 앤 마리 입니다. 이 두분을 보면 예쁘면서도 그 예쁨의 틀 안에 갇혀있지 않고 항상 에너지가 넘치고 생기 있는 모습을 보여주더라구요. 전 이 두 분이 보여주는 에너지가 네롤리 포르토피노와 참 잘 어울린다고 생각했어요. 청하씨와 앤 마리가 이 향수를 쓴다면 정말 멋있을 것 같아요. 

I think singers ‘Chung-ha’ and “Anne Marie”. They are so pretty and energetic. They always show fresh and amazing figures. I think the energy they show is nice with this fragrance. I hope they wear this scent!

 

[음악]

제가 이 네롤리 포르토피노를 맡고 생각한 음악은 세븐틴의 '예쁘다'와 Conor Maynard의 'Talking about'입니다. 두 노래 다 굉장히 청량한 느낌이 나는 노래예요. 왠지 연인과 싸웠을 때 네롤리 포르토피노를 뿌리고 이 음악들을 듣는다면 향기와 함께 기분 전환이 될 것 같아요. 물론, 안 싸우고 행복한 상태에서 듣는다면 더 좋겠죠? 향수의 매력을 참 잘 표현해 주는 음악들 같아요. 

The musics what I think are “Pretty of Seventeen” and “Talking about of Conor Maynard”. These songs have very fresh and cool feeling. If I’d wear this perfume when I have an argument with boyfriend, I can refresh myself! Of course, it will be better when I’m happy! I think these songs can show the charm of fragrance.

톰포드의 향수, 네롤리 포르토피노는 병의 색깔부터 제 눈을 사로잡은 향수예요. 그리고 향수 이름에 네롤리가 들어가다니. 오렌지 꽃의 향기를 어떻게 풀어낼지 궁금해지는 향수였죠. 오렌지 꽃이 갖는 에너지가 시트러스 계열의 과일들과 만나 큰 시너지를 내고, 함께 맡을 수 있는 차분하고 생동감 있는 허브의 향기가 너무 조화로워서 아침에 눈을 뜨자마자 맞고 싶은 향기예요. 일어나기 힘든 월요일 아침도 네롤리 포르토피노와 함께 시작한다면 정말 활기차고 힘 있게 시작할 수 있을 것 같은 느낌이 드네요. 저는 톰포드 향수는 톰 포드만의 매니악한 캐릭터가 있다고 생각하거든요. 그런데 이 네롤리 포르토피노는 그 매니악한 모습이 상대적으로 적은 편이에요. 그래서 향수 초보자들에게도 쉽게 접할 수 있는 향수죠. 톰포드의 깊고 진한 느낌을 좋아하시는 분께는 상대적으로 덜 매력적으로 느껴질 수 있는 향기입니다. 

Neroli Portofino of TOM FORD fascinates my eyes from the color of bottle. And there is “NEROLI” on the label! I wonder how it shows orange flowers scent. Orange flower scent makes synergy with citrus and it harmonizes with herb smell. This is the scent that I wanna smell as soon as I wake up in the morning. If I’d be with this fragrance, I can start delightfully even Monday! I think TOM FORD fragrances have their dark characters. But this fragrance has less dark figures. So it’s good for newbies of perfume. On the contrary, it may be less attractive for people who love dark and heavy characters of TOM FORD.
